Job summary

Royal Mencap Society in Bedlington is seeking compassionate Support Workers to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will assist with daily activities, provide emotional support, and help build meaningful relationships within a diverse group of people.

This role requires you to be a driver and offers dayshift and waking night shifts (7pm–9am). We provide 24hr care with rotas planned at least four weeks in advance, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities for individuals with learning disabilities.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.
• Support individuals to participate in activities and routines.
• Contribute to 24hr care planning and rota preparation in advance.
