Job summary

Axcis Education is recruiting a full-time SEND Unit Teaching Assistant to support primary pupils with autism and complex needs in Preston. You will work 8:45am – 3:15pm, Monday – Friday, assisting the teacher in delivering engaging activities and helping pupils regulate emotions.

The role requires calm, confident support, an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one), and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people’s lives. Free DBS guidance and safeguarding support are provided.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check on the update service is preferred.
• Relevant experience or a relevant qualification is desirable.
• Genuine desire to make a difference to young people lives.

Responsibilities

• Support children with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties in the SEND Unit.
• Assist the teacher in delivering engaging activities and learning experiences.
