Job summary

SEND Inclusion Support in Bolton is looking for dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with diverse learning needs across primary and secondary schools. You will help learners access lessons, build confidence and achieve their potential in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

The role involves working closely with teachers, parents and other professionals to tailor support and promote safeguarding and well-being every day.

Qualifications

• Patience and empathy when supporting children and young people.
• Clear, respectful communication with pupils, families and staff.
• Flexibility to adapt activities for diverse needs.
• A genuine passion for helping SEND learners reach their potential.
• Awareness of SEND strategies; training beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers to create an inclusive and engaging classroom.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.
• Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs.
• Encourage engagement, independence and confidence.
• Assist with personal care needs as required.
• Collaborate with staff, parents and external professionals.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all times.
• Supervise and support learning activities when needed.
