Job summary

Engage Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Bolton in primary and secondary schools. The role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, supporting pupils one-to-one or in small groups, and helping teachers prepare lessons.

You'll need excellent communication, patience, and a commitment to safeguarding. An enhanced DBS is preferred, and the right to work in the UK is essential. Competitive pay and flexible opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in educational or related settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, patient, and proactive attitude.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
• DBS Update Service on request or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Level 2/Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, and within the classroom.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence.
• Support children with varying learning needs, including SEN where required.
• Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
