Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Sutton primary school and support pupils with ASD and ADHD both in and out of the classroom. The role involves 1:1 and small group support, delivering differentiated activities, supporting social, emotional and behavioural development, and working with the class teacher and SEND team to implement EHCPs and SEND plans.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a primary school or educational setting.
  • Experience supporting children with ASD/ADHD/other additional learning needs.
  • Patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
  • CACHE qualification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD and ADHD.
  • Assist in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.
  • Implement strategies and interventions as per EHCPs and SEND plans.
  • Collaborate with class teacher and SENCO to ensure pupils receive the best possible support.
