Job summary

The Wenlock School in Dudley is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs, helping them overcome challenges and thrive in education. You will work alongside teachers, families, therapists and other specialists to create a nurturing environment where students feel safe and empowered to succeed.

Responsibilities include supporting learning and wellbeing, building relationships, and delivering targeted interventions to build confidence, independence and life

Qualifications

GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
Experience supporting students in a SEND or specialist education setting.
Patient, resilient, empathetic, and adaptable to individual student needs.

Responsibilities

Support students with learning, emotional wellbeing, and personal development.
Build positive relationships to help students feel safe and ready to learn.
Deliver targeted interventions to develop confidence, independence and life skills.
Collaborate with families and external professionals to provide holistic support.
Promote a positive, inclusive and nurturing environment for all students.
