Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students in secondary schools across the Eastleigh area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education who enjoys helping young people develop confidence, engage with learning, and achieve their full potential.

Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will provide classroom support and assist students who may require additional guidance with their learning,

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people desirable
• SEN experience beneficial but not essential
• Safeguarding training can be provided

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4
• Provide 1:1 support and small-group interventions
• Help students stay engaged and motivated in lessons
• Assist with lesson preparation and learning resources
• Support positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Build strong relationships with students and staff
• Encourage confidence, participation, and progress
