CrossReach, a long-standing social care provider in Scotland, seeks a Residential Child Care Worker to create a safe, nurturing home for children and young people. You will support their confidence, life skills and positive outcomes through trauma-informed practice.

As a Residential Child Care Worker, you will help create a safe, nurturing and supportive home for children and young people. Through positive relationships, consistency and trauma-informed practice, you will support them to build confidence, develop life skills and achieve positive outcomes.
You will be compassionate, patient and committed to helping children and young people thrive. You will understand the importance of building positive relationships and providing consistent support, particularly for those who have experienced adversity or trauma. You will be able to work effectively as part of a team, communicate confidently and remain calm during challenging situations. You will hold, or be willing to work towards, an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People). This role requires SSSC registration and membership of the PVG Scheme.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
