Job summary

The Isle of Wight Council is seeking a Personal Adviser to support care-experienced young people aged 18-25. This temporary post up to 12 months is based on the Isle of Wight, County Hall, Newport, with agile and flexible working practices.

You will build relationships, coordinate pathway plans, and advocate for access to education, employment, housing and health services, while following safeguarding guidance in collaboration with multi-agency partners.

Qualifications

• Experience with care-experienced young people or vulnerable groups.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and risk management.
• Knowledge of housing, education, employment and welfare systems for young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, guidance and practical support to care-experienced young people aged 18-25.
• Develop, implement and review Pathway Plans.
• Coordinate and monitor services from partner agencies.
• Advocate for young people and ensure their voice informs decisions.
• Support access to accommodation, education, employment, and health services.
