Job summary

Lifeways Group is seeking a Mental Health Recovery Support Worker to empower adults with enduring mental ill health to live safely at home and progress on their recovery journey.

The role offers bank/sessional shifts (8:00–23:00, Monday to Sunday) with some sleep-ins, and a DBS paid by the company. No sponsorship is offered. Training and career progression are provided to support your development.

Qualifications

• You don't need experience—compassion and good communication are essential.
• NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care is a bonus and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Empower adults with enduring mental ill health to live safely and independently in their own homes.
• Support emotional wellbeing and develop coping strategies.
• Assist with accommodation, daily living routines, budgeting, and financial independence.
• Help access community groups, services, and social activities.
• Strengthen relationships with family, friends, and social networks.
• Encourage exploration of education, volunteering, hobbies, and employment opportunities.
