Job summary

St Cuthbert's Care is seeking a Mental Health and Addictions Support Worker at Drake House in Newburn, Newcastle. In this role, you will support tenants in developing essential life skills for independent living while encouraging community engagement.

This position offers both full and part-time hours over a 7-day rota. Competitive pay at £13.85 per hour, enhanced rates for overtime, and a welcome bonus of up to £350. Benefits include Christmas bank holidays at double time, 27 days annual leave, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated patience and a genuine desire to help others.
• Must hold a Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to tenants in developing essential life skills for independent living.
• Assist tenants with daily life skills, such as home care, shopping and cooking.
• Encourage community engagement and support tenants to maintain friendships and interests.
