St Cuthbert’s Care in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Learning Disability Support Worker for Sherringham House. The role offers full and part-time hours over a 7-day rota, with day and night shifts available.

Salary is £13.85 per hour plus £80 sleep-in, with a welcome bonus up to £350 and comprehensive training provided. You will support tenants to develop essential life skills, manage daily tasks, and engage with the community to build confidence and independence.

Qualifications

• Patience and a can-do attitude to support individuals in care.
• Willingness to complete Level 2 Health and Social Care if not already held.
• Good communication with tenants and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to tenants to develop essential life skills for independent living.
• Assist with daily tasks such as home care, shopping and cooking.
• Encourage community engagement and friendships to build confidence.
