Job summary

Tameside Council is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant at St Raphaels Catholic Primary School on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. The post is part-time (30 hours per week) with a potential October 2026 start, based at St Raphaels.

You will require NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and demonstrate excellent literacy and numeracy, with a commitment to high standards and Catholic ethos in a supportive primary setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification required.
• Ability to work with primary age children and support learning.

Responsibilities

• Promote Catholic ethos and inclusion in the classroom.
• Support pupils and adapt learning to individual needs.
