Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Birmingham.

The post emphasises supporting pupils with learning, behavior and daily routines, working with the class teacher to prepare resources and deliver activities. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools with GCSEs in English and Maths, have SEN experience, and a genuine passion for helping children reach their potential.

Qualifications

Qualified Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools with GCSEs in English and Maths.
Experience supporting a SEN class and helping pupils to enable they are working to the best of their ability.
Genuine passion for supporting children and helping them achieve their potential.
Reliable and punctual individual with a positive attitude to education.
Strong knowledge of the primary national curriculum.

Responsibilities

Supporting pupils learning, behaviour and daily classroom routines.
Working alongside the class teacher to support the delivery of classroom and lesson activities e.g. setting up the classroom, preparing learning resources.
Observing pupils during tasks by monitoring the progress and feeding back any concerns to the teacher.
Managing behavior within the classroom by helping maintain a calm atmosphere and managing any low-level disruptions.
Supervising children during break times/lunchtimes.
Ensure that you are following school safeguarding and health and safety policies to ensure child welfare.
