Waterloo Lodge School is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will support pupils with diverse learning needs, work with teachers and help create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment.

This role involves 1:1 and small group support, preparing resources, monitoring progress, and assisting with educational visits. A GCSE in English and Maths is expected; a patient, adaptable communicator will thrive in our supportive OFG Education community.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths.
• Passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering a broad, engaging and personalised curriculum.
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access learning and achieve their goals.
• Assist in implementing educational and behavioural programmes that meet a range of learning needs.
• Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and positive relationships.
• Monitor and record pupils' academic, social and emotional progress, sharing feedback with the wider team.
• Prepare learning resources and classroom materials to support stimulating lessons and activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, nurturing environment where pupils can flourish.
• Accompany pupils on educational visits and enrichment activities, and occasionally provide transport where required.
