Job summary

Keys Group in Paignton, Devon is hiring a Support Worker for a brand-new service supporting adults with learning disabilities. You will provide day-to-day support, help residents pursue personal goals and develop independent living skills, working 40 hours per week at £13.45–£14.05 per hour.

No prior care sector experience is required as full training, coaching and development are provided. You will work with residents, their families and a wider team to improve quality of life and promote

Qualifications

• Experience in the care sector is not required; full training, coaching and development are provided.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administering medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
• Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
