Job summary

Pertemps Medical is seeking experienced agency Support Workers for community-based services in Scotland, supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental ill health. The role focuses on dignity, choice, participation, and helping each person live as independently as possible.

You will follow care plans, support daily living, participate in activities, and complete the necessary pre-placement checks and registrations to ensure safe, compliant service delivery.

Qualifications

• UK care experience (12 months) in person-centred support.
• Experience with learning disabilities, autism, mental ill health and complex needs.
• SSSC registration or eligibility to register
• Clear written and spoken English, good communication, compassionate approach

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one or group support per care plan.
• Encourage participation in social activities and community engagement.
• Support daily living, practical tasks, finances and medications when authorised.
• Provide personal care, hygiene and health-related assistance as needed.
• Follow safe moving and handling, record care, raise concerns promptly
