Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking 10 x Permanent Grade 4 Community Support Workers for Wilmslow, 21 hours per week. Salary £13.70–£13.92/hr with enhanced pay, including weekends.

Roles involve person‑centred care, assisting with daily living tasks, and supporting tenants to live independently in the Care4CE Wilmslow network. We welcome compassionate, team‑minded applicants with strong communication, flexibility for shifts (7am–3pm / 3pm–10pm), and a commitment to learning.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and alternating weekends.
• Commitment to learning and development.
• Valid driving licence for tenant support across the borough.

Responsibilities

• Provide person‑centred care and support to tenants.
• Assist with personal care tasks (washing, dressing, dental hygiene).
• Help tenants with daily tasks: cleaning, shopping, meals, budgeting.
• Support with medication and access to GP/hospital appointments.
• Keep clear, accurate care records and support care planning.
• Act as a keyworker when required and help tenants stay connected with others.
• Encourage independence and participation in social activities.
• Follow health and safety requirements in all tasks.
