Job summary

iMap is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for our Winsford team to help young people with personal care and wellbeing. You will support expression of wishes and feelings, and apply creative ideas to education in daily duties.

Role requires flexibility with early/late shifts and some weekend work in a rotating pattern; part-time hours are available. Experience with children, ideally SEND/autism, and strong communication and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, preferably in SEND/autism.
• Compassionate and understanding approach.
• Dynamic problem solver who can work well under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and listening skills.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Help the young people meet their personal care needs.
• Enable children and adults to express their wishes, views and feelings.
• Apply creative and innovative ideas to support education.
• Support with all aspects of health and wellbeing.
• Attend appointment and arrange social activities.
• Support opportunities in the community and encourage independence.
