Job summary

Bluebird Care North Hampshire & West Berkshire is seeking a dedicated Children’s Support Worker to join our care team in providing person-centred support to children, young adults, and their families. You will help customers live safely at home, promoting independence and wellbeing.

The role offers flexible hours, a comprehensive induction, and ongoing training, with a focus on dignity, respect, and high-quality care.

Qualifications

Permanent, unrestricted Right to Work in the UK.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Kind and compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care.
Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
Previous experience working with children & young adults is vital.

Responsibilities

Actively involve younger individuals in planning and reviewing their support needs and goals, ensuring their support plan reflects their preferences.
Empower each younger person to make choices and maintain independence, supporting decision-making in all areas of life.
Assist with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mealtime support while respecting comfort and dignity.
Support individuals with shopping for personal items, clothing, groceries, and assist with meal planning and preparation.
Facilitate involvement in social, recreational, educational, and employment opportunities based on the individual's interests.
