Job summary

Bluebird Care Reading & Wokingham is seeking a caring and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. You will support customers with daily living in their own homes, working independently or as part of a supportive team.

This role provides purpose, dignity, and the chance to make a real difference in people’s lives. We offer paid induction, ongoing expert training, uniform and PPE, and flexible or guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a patient, compassionate attitude.
• Ability to follow individual care plans and adapt to needs.
• Previous healthcare assistant experience is beneficial but not required as full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, tailored care to each person.
• Assist with personal care, meal prep, and nutrition.
• Support with medication and safe disposal of medicines.
• Carry out light housework and maintain a clean environment.
• Be a dependable, friendly face for customers and support the team.
• Work with increased pay rates for L2 qualification and above.
• Offer flexible or guaranteed hours where possible.
• Participate in induction and ongoing training.
• Uniform and PPE are provided.
