Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is recruiting for a Connect to Work project role within the Adult Learning Service. You will deliver frontline, person-centred support to adults across Leicestershire to help them move into and thrive in employment.

The role focuses on empowering disabled people, health condition holders, and others facing barriers to employment, using the place, train and maintain model and close employer collaboration. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject and GCSE English and maths at level 2.
• Recent experience delivering high-quality employment programmes.
• Experience working with adults facing complex barriers to employment.
• Strong understanding of Supported Employment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coach, mentor and motivate others.
• Experience engaging with local employers to create inclusive job opportunities.
• Ability to work in partnership with agencies for referrals and progression.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with participants to support them into employment.
• Complete vocational profiles and identify skills and needs.
• Develop person-centred action plans under SEQF.
• Engage with employers to find paid opportunities.
• Support employers with inclusive recruitment practices.
• Provide in-work support and help participants settle into roles.
• Work with agencies to design referral pathways and progression.
• Maintain accurate records for audits and performance.
