Ingeus is a leading human services provider delivering employment, skills and health & wellbeing services to transform lives. The Employment Specialist role in Leyland offers a salary of £31,000 per annum and a community-based footprint with regular travel around the area.

Working pattern is Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. You will assess clients with complex challenges, build strong partnerships with local organisations, and manage a small caseload delivering tailored one-to-one employment support,

Job Description

Employment Specialist

Salary: £31,000 per annum

Location: Covering Leyland - community based role with regular travel around the area

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

What You’ll Be Doing

• Client Assessment: Taking a hands-on, proactive and flexible approach to support individuals with complex challenges to secure and retain sustainable employment.
• Build a supportive culture: Build strong partnerships with local support organisations and co-locating to provide seamless support, (local government, NHS integrated care systems, voluntary and community organisations).
• Managing asmall caseloadof motivated participants who have been out of work or never worked due to disability or long-term health conditions, providing comprehensive tailored one-to-one employment support (incl. Resume writing, job Search Strategies etc)
• Employer Engagement: Establishing and maintainingstrong employer relationshipsto create job opportunities that align with individual strengths and aspirations.
• Innovate and inspire:Deliveringdisability awarenessto employers, helping them create inclusive, supportive workplace

Qualifications

Desirable but Not Essential:

• Knowledge and experience of theIPS/ SEQF modelsand principles
• Experience supporting individuals withcomplex needs, including disabilities or long-term health conditions.
• A background incommunity outreach, stakeholder engagement, or employment services.
