Job summary

Abacus is assisting a leading Belfast firm in recruiting an Employment Solicitor at senior associate level (4–7 PQE). You will advise employers, including high-profile names, on strategic and commercial issues while managing a large contentious caseload.

You’ll also review and redraft complex policies and procedures, with scope for corporate support or business immigration work. The role is senior, challenging and NI-focused.

Qualifications

• 4–7 PQE in employment law is targeted.
• Experience with TUPE, collective redundancies, discrimination and industrial relations preferred.
• Eligibility for NI admission; cross-border qualifications welcomed.

Abacus is working with a leading Belfast firm that needs an employment specialist at 4–7 PQE, and the caseload offers a good healthy mix and depth of work.

You will join an excellent team and advise employers, many of them high-profile names, on strategic, commercial employment issues. You will run a large contentious caseload, and review and redraft complex policies and procedures. If you enjoy corporate support or business immigration, there’s room for that too.

The company is flexible but ideally, we seek:

• 4–8years’ PQE, contentious and non-contentious experience ideal
• Solid experience with TUPE, collective redundancies, discrimination and industrial relations
• NI qualification, or E&W / ROI qualification with a view to practising in NI
• Bonus: ROI qualification and practice experience.

The client base is strong, the work is properly senior level and challenging, and the mix of advisory, litigation, corporate and immigration work keeps things interesting.
