Job summary

A Belfast firm is seeking an Employment Law Associate to join its employer-side team, handling contentious and non-contentious matters across NI, England & Wales, and the Republic of Ireland.

You will work on tribunal claims, injunctions to enforce covenants, TUPE, grievances, and industrial relations issues, with a mix of advisory and courtroom work and opportunities for client training and know-how. It offers cross-border experience within a highly regarded practice.

Qualifications

• Associate-level employment experience, ideally employer-side.
• NI qualification, or EW/ROI qualification with a view to practising in NI.
• Confident advocacy and clear, practical advice.
• Enthusiasm for client training and know-how.

Responsibilities

• Handle tribunal claims, including Industrial and Fair Employment Tribunal work and appeals.
• Advise on injunctions to enforce restrictive covenants and complex group claims.
• Work on TUPE, outsourcing and the employment side of high-profile corporate deals.
• Address grievances, discipline, long-term absence, industrial relations and pensions issues.
