Job summary

BTO Solicitors LLP in Glasgow and Edinburgh (hybrid) is seeking a confident and organised solicitor (NQ to 5+ years’ PQE) to join our busy Employment Law team and handle a broad range of matters.

The role includes advising on workplace disputes, restructuring, TUPE, drafting employment documents and representing clients at tribunals, with strong client relationship management. Hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday. Salary and title will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Sound employment law experience.
• Strong communication and client-relations skills.
• Ability to manage client expectations, risk, and deadlines.
• Experience advising on workplace disputes, restructuring, TUPE, and tribunals.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on employment matters, including disputes and tribunals.
• Assist with restructuring, redundancy, and TUPE.
• Draft employment documentation and notices.
• Represent clients in tribunal proceedings.
• Support business development and client relationship initiatives.
