Job summary

Bydand Recruitment Group is assisting a leading national law firm seeking an Employment Solicitor at Senior Associate / Legal Director level. The role is based at regional offices outside London (e.g., Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham) with flexible working options.

The ideal candidate will have around 5+ PQE and a track record across contentious, advisory and transactional employment matters, with the ability to manage a busy caseload and contribute to business development.

Responsibilities

• Advise a broad client base including company owners, HR professionals and executives.

• Advise on dismissals, redundancies and restructurings.
• Support corporate transactions and TUPE matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to the growth of the employment practice.

Employment Solicitor – Senior Associate / Legal Director

Location: Regional offices excluding London – eg Manchester; Leeds; Birmingham

Working arrangements: Flexible working opportunities considered

Salary: to £100,000

This role is designed to attract an experienced employment lawyer with around 5 PQE or more. The successful candidates will be based from one of the firms offices outside London which includes Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham.

The successful candidate will:

• Advise on employee relations matters, including disciplinary proceedings and grievances
• Manage Employment Tribunal cases, including whistleblowing and discrimination claims
• Advise on dismissals, redundancies and business restructurings
• Support corporate transactions and advise on TUPE matters
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Contribute to business development and the growth of the employment practice

Candidate profile

Applicant should have demonstrable experience of contentious, non-contentious and transactional employment matters, together with the ability to manage a caseload and deliver practical, commercially focused advice.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands
