IPS Group, a leading North West law firm, seeks an Employment Solicitor or Associate (NQ-4 PQE) to join its award-winning Employment Team in Greater Manchester. You will handle a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious matters and build client relationships.

You will work with partners across corporate and dispute resolution, contribute to business development, and mentor junior colleagues while delivering practical, strategic employment advice in a supportive, high-performing environment.

Qualifications

• NQ to 4 years' PQE in employment law.
• Experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
• Outstanding communication and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on the full spectrum of employment law matters including tribunal claims, equality issues, TUPE, reorganisations, covenants and corporate support work.
• Acting for employers, senior executives and individuals across sectors.
• Delivering practical, commercial and strategic advice tailored to clients’ objectives.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Delivering client training and contributing to knowledge-sharing.
• Supporting business development and marketing initiatives.
• Mentoring and supervising junior team members.
• Managing files with accurate time recording and timely billing.
• Keeping up to date with developments in employment law and case law.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Employment Solicitor or Associate to work on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters while contributing to the continued growth and success of the department.

You will advise a wide range of clients, develop strong relationships, and play an active role in business development and team initiatives.

• Mentoring and supervising junior team members where appropriate.
• Managing files effectively, ensuring accurate time recording and timely billing.
• Keeping up to date with developments in employment legislation and case law.
• Acting as an ambassador for the firms values and culture.

About You

You will ideally have:

• NQ to 4 years' PQE gained ideally within a national or leading regional or boutique law firm.
• Strong experience across a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• Outstanding communication and client relationship skills.

• Excellent organisational and matter management skills.
• The ability to work independently whilst thriving in a collaborative team environment.
