Job summary

LAW Absolute in Manchester is seeking an experienced employment lawyer for a 12‑month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on contentious employment work, including Employment Tribunal litigation/advocacy, advising UK-based clients on a broad range of employment and HR matters.

You will act for employers, manage client relationships, and have the opportunity to supervise junior lawyers while contributing to business development.

LAW Absolute have been instructed on a really exciting opportunity with a global law firm in Manchester. The position is for an experienced employment lawyer to join them asap on a 12 month FTC

The team is looking for someone with a strong contentious employment background, including Employment Tribunal litigation/advocacy, alongside broader advisory experience. The role would involve predominantly acting for employers and advising UK-based clients on a broad range of employment and HR matters, with scope to take ownership of matters and work closely with senior lawyers and clients.

They’re looking for someone who is technically strong, commercially minded and confident managing client relationships, with the opportunity to supervise more junior lawyers and contribute to business development.

It’s a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who may be open to a high-quality interim move within a leading international practice, without making a long-term commitment.
