Vincere is seeking an Employment Lawyer in Birmingham to join a market-leading national team. You will handle both contentious and non-contentious matters, with exposure to senior lawyers and a broad employment caseload. The role offers progression within a supportive, client-driven platform.

Ideal candidates will have 3–6 years PQE in employment law, strong technical ability, and a proactive, collaborative approach. Hybrid working is available where the role allows.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with employment law experience.
• Typically 3 to 6 years’ PQE, strong candidates outside this range considered.
• Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and hit targets.

Responsibilities

• Advising employers on a wide range of employment issues (redundancy, disciplinary, grievance, whistleblowing, discrimination).
• Defending Employment Tribunal claims, drafting defences, bundles, witness statements and merits reports.
• Supporting colleagues with caseloads as appropriate.
• Drafting articles and legal updates.
• Supporting business development activity (training and networking).
• Working to client/internal service levels and procedures.
• Contributing to team financial and utilisation targets.

Employment Lawyer

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £55,000 to £75,000 (depending on experience)

Experience: 3 to 6 years’ PQE (strong candidates outside this range will be considered)

Our client is looking to hire an Employment Lawyer into a market-leading national Employment, Pensions and Immigration team, based in Birmingham. This is a strong opportunity if you want a broad employment caseload, high-quality employer clients, and the chance to work closely with senior lawyers as the team continues to grow.

You will handle a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, with real scope to build client relationships, contribute to business development, and develop your profile through training and thought leadership.

This role offers a genuine platform to progress within a national team with strong client relationships. You will work alongside Partners and play an active part in driving the practice forward.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For
