Job description

We are a team of Employment Expert Witnesses. We provide reports regarding employment matters to courts to inform the litigation process across a range of claims. Due to growing referrals, we are currently looking for new experts to join us.

Our experts produce reports on individuals who have had life changing events such as illness or injury, divorce, or vulnerable service users who have suffered historical abuse and have suffered a loss of opportunity as a result. We analyse an individual’s situation and produce opinion on what would have been the most likely career outcomes for them were it not for their life changing events and what they are likely now to be able to go on and achieve.

Our experts come from a range of backgrounds - careers coaching and counselling, vocational rehabilitation and generalist HR to name a few. We have robust central support systems, with PhD researchers to support their analysis and administrative management to keep them on track. Our experts are all demonstrably at the top of their game in their fields. Their opinions are taken seriously by the courts and all enjoy the challenge of the work.

We offer the structure within which to operate, so legal skills or training, clinical or counselling skills are not required. The statistical analysis is done centrally within our research team and any other skills required would be provided through training courses. We have a blend of training, from third-party University courses to internal experienced experts who mentor and coach our new experts. We provide significant CPD on a regular basis including face-to-face conferences and remote learning.

Our experts work on an associate, consultancy basis, and undertake work project by project. There is a flexible approach to how much work is required to be committed to. Apart from occasional fixed meetings with clients, solicitors and counsel, the vast majority of the work can be undertaken anytime and anywhere!

We find that our experts enjoy the variety in the role and that it complements their existing portfolio. The steady nature of the work allows them to fit in work around their schedules and to take on more or less over time as their other professional commitments allow.

If you have a strong practical background in an employment related field, we would love to hear from you with a CV. You will need to be thoughtful and analytical with significant personal experience in a broad range of employment matters.
