Job summary

Sovereign & Bale is seeking an Employment and Skills Trainer in Hertford/Stevenage. The role focuses on coaching and upskilling adult jobseekers to help them achieve career goals and improve employability prospects.

You will deliver training, assess progress, and promote courses to stakeholders while maintaining a proactive learning environment. A teaching qualification and Level 3 Diploma with GCSE English are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to work to strict targets and with people from various backgrounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Experience of working in the welfare-to-work or any other similar relevant sector.
• Background in preparing and delivering training courses.
• Recognised Teaching qualification such as PTTLS or PGCE.
• A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma with GCSE English Grade B or above (or Level 2 literacy equivalent).

Location: Hertford/Stevenage ((likely 4 days in Hertford and 1 day in Stevenage per week but this could vary week to week)

The Role

Our Employment and Skills Trainers are an integral part of our employability programmes. The main purpose of this role is to improve the opportunities of adult jobseekers by coaching, training and upskilling them in order to achieve their career goals.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Preparing and delivering training
• Assessing and evaluating results and providing performance feedback
• Maintaining a professional training environment classroom management
• Promoting courses to internal and external stakeholders

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with

If you do not possess this level of qualification you will be required to achieve a Level 2 in a Literacy Assessment conducted at interview stage.
