Job summary

Reed in Partnership is seeking an Employment and Skills Trainer to support adult jobseekers on the Restart Scheme across Huntingdon, Ely and Wisbech. You will coach, train and upskill participants to boost confidence and employability, with a pro-rata salary for part time.

The role is a 12-month fixed term contract requiring travel between sites, with opportunities for training and progression within a values-driven organization.

Qualifications

• A-Levels or Level 3 Diploma with GCSE English (B or above) or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in welfare-to-work or similar sector.
• Willingness to travel locally (Huntingdon, Ely, Wisbech).
• Background in preparing and delivering training courses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality employability training sessions (CV writing, interview skills, job goals).
• Maintain a professional training environment and course materials.
• Promote courses to internal and external stakeholders to enhance submissions.
• Assess participant progress and provide feedback to Employment Advisers.
• Accurately reporting participant attendance and achievements.

Through a wide range of tailored support services including one-to-one careers guidance, CV writing, interview preparation, and skills training, we have supported over 250,000 people on their journey into work.Our Restart Scheme, funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), focuses specifically on supporting the long-term unemployed who are referred by their local Job Centre Plus. We provide them with up to 12 months of personalised support to enter or re-enter the workforce.What is the role about?Our Employment and Skills Trainers are an integral part of our employability programmes.
