Job summary

Pertemps Specialist Talent Solutions in Nottingham are recruiting an Employability Trainer to deliver engaging programmes across employability, English, Maths and digital skills. You'll work with learners from diverse backgrounds, supporting progression to employment, apprenticeships or further study.

The role operates in a hybrid model with a 35-hour week and a 3:30pm Friday finish, offering 34 days leave, a profit share, mileage, health cover and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Employability programmes and supporting English/Maths to Level 2.
• Assessor qualification (A1, CAVA or equivalent).
• English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 or above.
• Experience working with diverse adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging employability and vocational training programmes.
• Facilitate English, Maths and Digital Skills learning up to Level 2.
• Provide individual coaching and group learning sessions.
• Support learners to achieve recognised qualifications and outcomes.
• Develop lesson plans and innovative learning resources.
• Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement.
• Conduct learner assessments and reviews.
• Liaise with employers, Job Centres and referral partners.
• Support progression into employment and further learning.
• Maintain accurate learner records and quality documentation.
• Deliver face-to-face, community-based and virtual learning sessions.

We're Recruiting: Employability Trainer

I'm currently supporting a well-established and highly regarded training provider in Nottingham with the recruitment of an Employability Trainer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trainer, tutor or employability professional who is passionate about helping people develop the skills, confidence and qualifications needed to secure sustainable employment, apprenticeships or further education opportunities.

Working with learners from a variety of backgrounds, you will deliver engaging employability programmes covering areas such as CV writing, interview preparation, customer service, job search techniques, digital skills, health and safety and essential English and Maths.

You'll play a vital role in motivating learners, supporting achievement and helping individuals overcome barriers to employment while working towards positive progression outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• Recent experience delivering Employability programmes and supporting English and Maths delivery up to Level 2
• Assessor qualification (A1, CAVA or equivalent)
• English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 or above
• Experience supporting adults and young people with diverse learning needs
• Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Desirable

• Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above
• IQA qualification
• Experience delivering online and digital learning
• Experience delivering Health & Safety within a construction environment
• Knowledge of government-funded training programmes
