Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Ltd in Ipswich is seeking an Employment Advisor/Recruiter to support unemployed participants and build strong relationships with local employers. The role focuses on sourcing vacancies and delivering high-quality employment support services from a centre-based setting.

You will coach candidates on CV writing, job search, and interview techniques, manage a caseload against KPI targets, and work to understand individual skills, aspirations, and goals while promoting

Qualifications

• Experience in a target-driven environment such as business development, sales, recruitment or customer service.
• Understanding of the local labour market.
• Experience in Employment Advisor/Coach roles preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and support individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to meet KPIs.
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

The Role

• Engage, motivate and support a caseload of unemployed participants through to gaining sustainable employment.
• Identify and support individuals with any barriers to work.
• Work in partnership with your caseload to complete action plans, and to better understand their skills, aspirations and goals.
• Support participants with employability skills such as CV writing, job search, interview techniques, etc.
• Proactively engage with local employers, to source vacancies, understand their recruitment needs and promote candidates.
• Maintain employer relationships and employer engagement databases.

Criteria

• Experience of working in a target driven environment - business development, sales, recruitment, customer service etc.
• An understanding of the local labour market.
• Ideally have experience of working within a similar Employment Advisor/Coach role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and support individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Must be able to demonstrate experience of working towards KPIs.
• Must be IT literate.
