Waythrough is recruiting an Employment Specialist to support people facing mental health challenges and neurodivergence in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. You will manage a caseload of about 40 clients, delivering person‑centred employment support, job searches, CVs, applications and interview prep.
You will also run training and workshops, build strong employer relationships, and help clients address workplace challenges with SMART action plans and reasonable adjustments.
Employment Advisor Location: Yew Tree House, St Neots (hybrid working with at least 1 day per week in the office along with regular travel for community outreach work across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough as required.) Hours: 37 hours per week. Contract Type: Fixed Term, Full time until 30th April 2027 – Maternity Cover Salary: £25,877.80 - £34,240.03 per annum Please note that the starting salary for this role will be £28,182.00 per annum Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Way through’s Cambridgeshire Retain Regain Employment Service is looking for a personable, proactive and highly motivated Employment Specialist to join our team supporting people experiencing mental health challenges and/or who are neurodivergent to find, return to, or remain in work. You will work closely with individuals who are experiencing or recovering from mental health challenges and/or who are neurodivergent, helping them build confidence and develop practical strategies to achieve their employment goals. Following induction, you will manage a caseload of approximately 40 clients, providing tailored and person-centred employment support. This includes supporting people with job searching, applications, interviews, and workplace challenges, while promoting sustainable employment and recovery. You will also build strong relationships with employers, Job Centres, and community organisations across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to create opportunities and pathways into employment. You will deliver training sessions and online workshops to clients, employers and others.
