Job summary

Pembrokeshire County Council’s Futureworks is seeking an enthusiastic Employer Engagement Officer to cover Aberystwyth/Cardigan across Ceredigion. This fixed-term post runs until 31 December 2027, with potential extension subject to funding, and focuses on building employer partnerships and creating opportunities for job seekers.

The role supports the DWP Restart Scheme, works with local businesses and training providers, and aims to connect employers with motivated candidates while supporting

Qualifications

• Experience in employer engagement, recruitment, business development, sales or account management.
• Experience working in a target-driven environment.
• Ability to develop stakeholder relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Ability to match people to employment opportunities and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and grow relationships with local, regional and national employers.
• Generate sustainable job opportunities, vacancies and work placements meeting employer needs and participant aspirations.
• Promote Futureworks' employability programmes and employer services across Ceredigion.
• Contribute to the delivery of the Employer Engagement Strategy and expand employer networks.
