Employer Engagement Officer

Salary: £35,000-£37,000 per annum

Location: West Yorkshire - Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale

About the Role

As an Employer Engagement Officer, you'll take an active role in developing relationships with employers across West Yorkshire, understanding their recruitment needs and identifying opportunities to create employment outcomes.

You'll work closely with internal teams to generate vacancies, develop business partnerships and connect employers with suitable candidates.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and managing relationships with employers across Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale.
• Identifying business needs, recruitment challenges and opportunities for employer collaboration.
• Generating vacancies and developing employment opportunities for individuals accessing employment support.
• Proactively engaging new employers to expand the organisation’s business network.
• Developing an understanding of local labour market trends and employer requirements.
• Working with internal teams to match suitable candidates to vacancies.
• Maintaining accurate employer records, vacancy information and engagement activity.
• Contributing to employer engagement targets and wider employment outcome objectives.

Ideal Candidate

You'll be a confident relationship-builder with experience in employer engagement, business development, recruitment or account management.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience developing relationships with employers, businesses or commercial stakeholders.
• Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• A proactive approach to business development and identifying new opportunities.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of employer recruitment needs.
• The ability to manage multiple relationships and prioritise competing demands.
• Experience working towards targets and delivering measurable results.
• An interest in employability, recruitment, workforce development or skills and training.

Experience within welfare-to-work, employment support or government-funded employability programmes would be advantageous.
