Aston University in Birmingham is seeking an Employer Engagement Officer (Student Employment) to develop employer relationships and create paid, flexible employment opportunities for students to undertake alongside their studies. You will work with employers to identify volunteering, internships, placements and graduate opportunities while supporting student success and employability.

Your contribution to Aston's mission of delivering exploitable research and employable graduates will be to assist the Careers and Placements department's strategic aim of maximising positive graduate outcomes for all students, with a particular focus on employer engagement.
This role within the Placement Employer Engagement team presents an exciting opportunity to develop employer relationships that create meaningful employment opportunities for Aston students. The primary focus of the Employer Engagement Officer (Student Employment) will be to generate paid, flexible employment opportunities that students can undertake alongside their studies, supporting student success, retention and employability. The postholder will also work with employers to identify volunteering opportunities that complement students' personal and professional development, alongside wider internship, placement, postgraduate and graduate opportunities where appropriate.
To support the delivery of team objectives and positive outcomes for students, the postholder will work collaboratively across the Careers and Placements department to develop employer partnerships, assist employer recruitment needs and ensure that employer engagement activity reflects the needs and aspirations of Aston's diverse student community.
