hireful is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to coach managers across the organisation, handling ER caseloads and ensuring fair, value-led outcomes in a housing sector context.

This hybrid role splits time between central Bradford offices and home working, with a salary around £40,000, 28 days holiday, health and wellbeing services, and opportunities for professional qualifications.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong track record managing complex ER casework in a multi-site environment.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and practical tribunal preparation.
• Excellent written communication and coaching skills with constructive challenge.
• Experience in housing, care, or regulated sectors is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage an ER caseload across performance, conduct, attendance, grievance, and flexible working requests (approx 15 cases).
• Provide practical, legally sound advice to managers to reduce risk and support fair outcomes.
• Own absence/attendance management, monitor triggers, and report on long-term cases.
• Coach managers and run training sessions to handle people matters early and constructively.
• Analyse ER trends to identify risks and implement preventative solutions.
