Job Description:

Alexander Lloyd is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a well-known organisation on the recruitment of an Employee Relations Specialist.

You’ll play a key role in shaping a workplace culture that is fair, supportive, and high performing. Acting as a trusted advisor to managers and leaders, you’ll guide them through sensitive people matters while ensuring best practice and compliance with employment law. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on building relationships, solving complex challenges, and influencing positive change.

Duties:

  • Take ownership of employee relations cases, including disciplinary matters, performance management, grievances, attendance concerns, and exit processes for involuntary leavers.
  • Partner with managers and leaders as a go-to expert, providing practical advice to resolve issues effectively.
  • Stay current on employment legislation and HR practices, ensuring guidance is legally sound and aligned with policies.
  • Support strategic HR projects, including TUPE and redundancy processes, using data insights to deliver outcomes that are consistent, efficient, and people-focused.
  • Equip managers to lead employee meetings professionally, from preparation to conclusion.
  • Design and deliver initiatives and training to foster fairness, respect, and consistency across the business.
  • Support the ER and wider HR team during peak periods and contribute to cross-functional projects.
  • Collaborate with the ER Lead to review and manage cases involving regulatory or conduct-related risks.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Solid HR background with emphasis on employee relations, HR policies, and coaching managers.
  • Deep understanding of HR procedures, employment law, and workforce change processes, including TUPE, mergers & acquisitions, and collective consultation.
  • Experience in large-scale, complex organizations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
