Job summary

Relay Technologies in London seeks an Employee Relations Lead to support our growing network of sortation centres. You will own complex ER cases end to end, partnering with site leadership to reduce risk and drive fair outcomes.

Based at our London HQ with 1–2 days of travel per week, you will build scalable ER processes, train managers, and ensure on-site presence where it matters. This hands-on role demands thorough investigations and strong people guidance.

Qualifications

• Strong end-to-end ER case management experience across grievances, disciplinary and conduct matters.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law, including early conciliation and tribunal preparation.
• Experience in high-volume, multi-site operational environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with sensitivity in conflict situations.
• Willingness to travel to sortation centres 1–2 days per week.
• Experience improving ER processes using data to identify risk.

Responsibilities

• Own complex ER cases end to end, ensuring fair investigations and clear outcomes.
• Partner with site leadership to identify people risk and translate into operational plans.
• Coach site managers to handle lower-level ER issues independently.
• Manage legal risk, including tribunal preparation and external counsel where needed.
• Build scalable ER processes and training to drive policy improvements.
