ER Specialist (You must have extensive employee relations experience)
Location: Luton
Type: Hybrid, Salary: 40K
Our client, a global Managed Services and Specialist Staffing provider, is looking for an ER Partner to join their growing team. The role involves providing customer-focused, responsive, accurate, and pragmatic HR advice and support to managers, employees, and flexible workers, in line with company policies, internal procedures, and legal requirements.
The Business
- Acts as an ambassador of the Group, aligning with company culture and values.
- Understands the company brands and their offerings.
- Delivers first-class advisory services on employment and employee relations matters.
- Ensures positive customer experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Advice and Guidance:
- Advise managers on Employee Relations matters, ensuring compliance with best practices, policies, and legislation.
- Manage cases related to disciplinaries, performance, grievances, absence, TUPE, redundancy, and ACAS.
- Develop relationships within the business to promote good employee relations.
- Provide support on client calls and HR queries.
- Maintain and update relevant policies and guidelines.
- Liaise with Payroll and HR Admin teams as needed.
Case Management:
- Handle Employee Relations cases, ensuring timely responses and compliance.
- Draft and review relevant documentation.
- Support and advise on cases across employment sectors, including managing ACAS early conciliation cases.
- Facilitate occupational health referrals.
- Manage the shared query system efficiently.
Technology and HR Systems:
- Accurately manage data in HR systems.
- Generate reports and ensure all cases are recorded properly.
- Ensure policies are accessible and data is GDPR compliant.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with managers and HR colleagues.
Change Management:
- Support organizational change, advising managers on restructuring and employment legislation.
Projects:
- Contribute to departmental objectives and review Employee Relations materials regularly.
Experience and Skills
- HR advisory background with a focus on Employee Relations and legislation.
- Proven case management skills.
- Knowledge of employment law, GDPR, and HR systems.
- Strong organizational, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
- Experience in corporate or professional services sectors.
- Knowledge of TUPE and redundancy processes.
