Job summary

Elevation HR in York is seeking a Temporary Employee Relations Advisor to join an established HR team for an initial 9 weeks. You will handle ER casework across head office and production, offering guidance to managers and ensuring timely resolution.

This hybrid role requires confidence in managing complex cases, maintaining accurate records, monitoring progress and escalating high-risk issues when needed. Immediate availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing employee relations cases end-to-end.
• Ability to advise and coach managers on ER matters.
• Strong record-keeping and awareness of employment law.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee relations cases end-to-end, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management, ensuring timely and effective resolution
• Provide advice, guidance and coaching to managers on ER matters, supporting formal processes and building confidence in managing people issues
• Maintain accurate case records, monitor progress and ensure cases are managed in line with employment legislation, company policies and required timescales, escalating complex or high-risk cases where appropriate
• Identify trends across ER casework, providing recommendations to improve processes and minimise risk, while supporting manager training and conducting exit interviews to strengthen people management practices

Elevation HR are working with a successful manufacturing business in York as they look for a Temporary Employee Relation Advisor for an initial 9 weeks period.

The role will join an established HR team, supporting managers across both head office and production with the management of employee relations casework. Key responsibilities will include:

• Manage employee relations cases end-to-end, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management, ensuring timely and effective resolution
• Provide advice, guidance and coaching to managers on ER matters, supporting formal processes and building confidence in managing people issues

The role offers hybrid working, with 2 days working from home. We are looking for someone who is confident managing complex ER casework and who is immediately available.
