Job summary

ESSENTIAL EMPLOYMENT LTD in Taunton is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor for a temporary assignment. Employee Relations Advisor needed in Taunton

This is a temporary role and the rate is £19.96ph PAYE

The successful candidate will provide high-quality employee relations advice and support across a broad range of people management matters, including recruitment, performance management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, investigations, and the interpretation of terms and conditions of employment.

They will work closely with managers, stakeholders and trade union representatives to resolve complex employee relations issues, offering practical, commercially aware and legally compliant solutions that balance organisational objectives with best practice. The role requires excellent communication, influencing and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively, guide managers through sensitive cases, and ensure fair and consistent application of policies and employment legislation. The successful candidate will also contribute to HR projects, policy development, organisational change initiatives, coaching and mentoring activities, and wider workforce development programmes, helping to strengthen people management capability and support long-term organisational success.
