Job summary

Huntress is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to manage a portfolio of disciplinary, investigations and grievances. You will provide practical ER guidance to managers and staff, while collaborating with a small, specialist team focused exclusively on ER matters in a dedicated Leeds office space.

The role requires independent judgment, strong communication, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across major UK retailers and client sites.

Qualifications

• Experience handling ER casework including disciplinaries, investigations, and grievances.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for managers and staff.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a small ER team.
• CIPD qualification or active study supported by the employer is desirable.

Employee Relations Advisor

Location: Office-based

Salary: Up to £32,000 + funding and time to complete CIPD level 5

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Outskirts of Leeds City Centre - parking

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join a close-knit, dedicated ER team. You'll manage your own caseload of disciplinaries, investigations and grievances, while also collaborating closely with colleagues on shared priorities. This is a great opportunity for someone who can think independently, use sound judgement, and work confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

You'll be part of a small, focused team of 7 (including 3 Advisors), working exclusively on ER matters in a dedicated office space - giving you the chance to really specialise and develop deep expertise in employee relations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing your own portfolio of disciplinary, investigation and grievance cases from start to finish
• Providing clear, practical ER advice to managers and colleagues across the business
• Working collaboratively within a small team, sharing knowledge and supporting one another on complex cases
• Building strong working relationships with stakeholders across multiple well-known client sites (including major UK retailers)
• Ensuring all case work is handled fairly, consistently, and in line with policy and current employment legislation
• Identifying risk and offering practical, commercially-minded solutions

What We're Looking For

• Solid experience handling ER casework (disciplinaries, grievances, investigations)
• Ability to work independently and use your own initiative, while also being a strong team player
• Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with a range of colleagues and managers
• A proactive, adaptable approach - no two cases are the same, and there's plenty of variety in this role
• CIPD level 3 qualification (or working towards) desirable
