About the Role:

Who are we, and what do we do?

Avara Foods is one of the UK’s leading food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and restaurants. We manage our entire supply chain from farms to the customer door, with processing sites across England and Wales, and over 350 farms.

Our Dudley site:

Located in West Midlands, our Dudley site is an advanced manufacturing facility where we add spices and seasonings to products. During summer, production increases for seasonal products like BBQ foods. The site employs approximately 400 staff and supplies major UK supermarkets and restaurants.

We are looking for an Employee Liaison Officer to join our Dudley team, earning a minimum of £13.10 per hour.

About the role:

The Employee Liaison Officer will oversee the onboarding process for new recruits, acting as a key contact to embed Avara Food’s values during the first 3-6 months of employment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting new recruits on their first day
  • Supporting PPE and locker provision with facilities
  • Conducting check-ins during weeks 1-3 and providing feedback
  • Ensuring SOPs are understood and completed before entering the factory
  • Working with the Training Administrator to ensure training is delivered and SOPs are up to date
  • Supporting managers with the 3-7-11 process
  • Coordinating with agency colleagues to ensure a consistent experience and accurate recording of hours
  • Supporting HR with document delivery and scheduling training/health appointments

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 05:30 to 14:30

Requirements for success:

  • Good English and basic numeracy skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and flexibility
  • Experience in production/manufacturing is a plus but not essential
