Job description

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a competent account manager to join an existing team. The Enterprise team deals with prospects and clients and manages their employee’s risk benefit policies via telephone, typically with clients having smaller policies or requiring remote interactions without face-to-face meetings. For the aspirational candidate, this opportunity can serve as a springboard to a broad career path within WTW.

The Role

The Client Management team handles prospects and clients, managing their employee risk benefit policies via telephone, Microsoft Teams, and occasionally face-to-face meetings. The account manager's primary responsibilities include maintaining an existing client portfolio, handling new business inquiries, actively seeking new business growth, and promoting the sale of new products to existing and new clients. The goal is to service clients effectively to minimize lapses, ensure renewal of policies, maximize product sales, and achieve the annual business plan.

As a Group Risk Consultant, your duties will include:

  1. Conducting monthly pre-renewal, renewal, and mid-term calls with existing clients to secure contract renewals.
  2. Issuing market reviews for contracts undergoing rate reviews and providing appropriate product and service recommendations based on client needs, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  3. Identifying key decision-makers within each client organization and maintaining regular contact with them.
  4. Understanding all compliance and regulatory requirements, including complaints processes, FCA, FOS, DPA, and TCF, especially related to sales and client service processes.
  5. Using initiative to generate sales leads.
  6. Assessing and recommending suitable products and services to meet client requirements, maintaining high service standards.
  7. Using client interactions to gather data and identify opportunities for business development within each portfolio.
  8. Building and maintaining good relationships with insurers and other providers for client benefit.
  9. Staying updated on relevant market developments and legislative changes.
  10. Completing data entry accurately in our Microsoft Dynamics CRM system.
The Requirements
  • Previous experience and proven success in a similar role; knowledge of the risk insurance industry is advantageous.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle various tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and on initiative.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong research, analysis, and presentation skills.
  • Target-driven, tenacious, with a track record of achievement.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic.
  • High standards of work and presentation.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with IT software packages.
  • Trustworthy with confidential information.
  • Ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and effectively sell WTW's products and services.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and attention to detail.
  • Decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Teamwork ethic.
  • Good commercial awareness.
