Job summary

Nova Training is seeking an Employability Tutor in Wolverhampton to help students develop employability skills and achieve required qualifications. The role focuses on guiding learners, embedding Functional Skills, and providing ongoing support to reach targets.

The position is full-time and maternity cover, offering a structured training environment with opportunities to mentor learners throughout their journey and to contribute to safeguarding and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Functional Skills or Employability.
• Teaching qualification (minimum PTLLS).
• Assessing qualification (Full TAQA or V1).
• Teaching in 14-19 provision.

Responsibilities

• Create conditions in the training centre to develop abilities, skills and confidence of each learner.
• Empathise, engage and motivate learners across programmes.
• Ensure Functional Skills are embedded in all lessons.
• Regularly assess learners' work to awarding body and Ofsted criteria.
• Support, mentor and motivate learners to complete learning aims and qualifications.

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Nova Training as an Employability Tutor.

As an Employability Tutor you will be required to work with students to develop their employability skills and help them gain the necessary qualifications to succeed in the job market. As an Employability tutor, you will be expected to provide support and guidance to students, while ensuring they meet the required standards.

What you will be doing:

• Create conditions in the training centre which will help to develop the abilities, skill and confidence of each learner.
• Empathise, engage and motivate learners across programmes.
• Ensure that Functional Skills are embedded in all lessons
• Regularly assess the learners work to awarding body and Ofsted criteria.
• Actively support, mentor and motivate learners across the learner journey to help them with the timely completion of their learning aims and qualification.

What you require:

• Experience of delivering Functional Skills or Employability
• A relevant teaching qualification minimum PTLLS.
• An assessing qualification, Full TAQA or V1
• Teaching experience within 14-19 provision
• Understanding of Ofsted and the Education Inspection Framework

Full, clean UK Driving License
