Job summary

Oakmoor Recruitment in Leeds is seeking a Childcare Study Programme Tutor to deliver Level 1 Childcare and PSHE education in a centre-based classroom setting. The role reports to the Education Manager and focuses on setting targets with learners to develop and progress through the programme.

The position is full-time and permanent, based in Leeds, with Monday–Friday 8:30am–4:30pm. Starting salary is £27k, depending on experience and qualifications, with an excellent benefits package and

Qualifications

• Previous classroom delivery experience.
• AET or above teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, CertEd, PGCE) OR Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1, D32 etc).

Responsibilities

• Review learners progress in accordance with contractual requirements and company systems.
• Identify learners' support needs (e.g. Functional Skills and Soft Skills).
• Evaluate and document learner progress.
• Ensure targets are met by learners.
• Agree and set targets with learners to develop and progress through the programme.
• Ensure target setting motivates the learner and provide written and verbal feedback on progression toward agreed targets.

Overview: Childcare Study Programme Tutor

Reporting to the Education Manager, this role will require the successful candidate to set targets with learners to develop and progress through their Childcare qualification.

Learners will be studying towards Childcare Level 1 & PSHE related education, in a classroom setting.

The role is Centre based in Leeds and is a full-time, permanent position.

Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm

Qualifications and Competencies: Childcare Study Programme Tutor

Essential:

• Previous classroom delivery experience

Purpose of the role: Childcare Study Programme Tutor

• Delivering Childcare Level 1 to learners in a classroom setting
• PSHE Education
• Maintain standards in accordance with guidelines set by the DfE
• Manage administration of company systems, procedures and responsibilities
• Maintain delivery standards in accordance with the Common Inspection Framework (CIF) and formulate development plans for ongoing improvement
